This vest is well-made, nice and thin and packable, not very "puffy" but the interior gold lining reflects heat really well. Perfect for fall walks.

POOR DESIGN-FLAWED COLLAR Sweeps your lower face

I am a huge fan of Columbia Sportswear but this design should never of left the board due to the horrible neck collar pouch which goes into your face when zipped up for warmth. I do not have a short neck by any means nor did the three other women who tried it on- each of us was surprised by the poor design which interfered with our faces when we all but held our heads up rigid to avoid being hit in the face by the collar which would also remove any makeup one was wearing from the nose down. Talk about not checking out your designs before going to the sewing manufacturer. A mock up and trial would of been a good idea. Loved the color and the rest of the design though and sad to have to return it and worse, to have to pay shipping to return a design flaw.

“I absolutely love the Columbia Peak II Long Vest. It is lightweight, warm, and very comfortable to wear. The longer length provides extra coverage and protection on cooler days without feeling bulky. The fit is flattering, and the quality is excellent, as expected from Columbia. The pockets are practical, and the vest layers easily over sweaters or lighter jackets. It’s perfect for everyday wear, travel, and outdoor activities. Great vest for in between seasons

Being 5’2” the vest hits a touch long but it’s not a deal breaker. I wish it came in petite though. I have owned a Joy Peak jacket for at least 3 years and it’s so good that I knew I needed the vest too. I’m glad I bought this as it’s great for when I don’t need a jacket and don’t want to overheat. This is lightweight but warm enough and I’d say perfect for 3-10 degree weather. Layer up underneath as needed. I love to wear a sweatshirt under it. I wear a large Joy Peak jacket and also bought a large in this vest. I have a 38” bust.
