Purchased this fabulous down jacket with lots of practical features. Bought a size larger than my norm to give me lots of layering options. Winters in the Maritimes flip from extreme cold ( -20 C to freezing rain and ice.) This coat has me covered!

Beautiful Coat

I loved the fit and feel of this coat. I ordered it for a ski coat but it showed up too late to make the trip. I am still keeping it because its an excellent coat for cold skiiing and transitions well to casual wear. It is warm but flattering. I loved that this had pit zips for skiing in case you get warm under all the down. Its not a coat I would take for blue bird days or if the snow is somewhat melty or if there was a chance of it getting wet in a drizzle.
I am 5'6'' and 230lbs and I got a 2x but I bet I could have fit into a 1x for a slimmer fit. I wish the pit zips had mesh to keep snow out but otherwise I am very happy with the quality of the coat and its feel. It has a high quality zipper ( not a waterproof one however but I wouldn't use this on a wet day anyways). I also can agree with a few other reviewers that claimed the fur was a lower quality and it kind of is. Im glad the hood can be fully removed though.

Amazing Coat for Outdoor Winter - But Size Up!

Amazing and functional coat outdoor winter activities. It's exactly what I was looking for. This coat definitely runs on the smaller side so after reading the reviews, I chose to size up as per the recommendations and it was 100% the right call.

Nice jacket

Columbia usually fits small, so I ordered a size up. I’ll be able to wear a sweater underneath, so that’s ok. I really like the style, as I’m short and it still covers my butt without being long and awkward to reach the zipper to close it. Like the furry lined collar too.
They could have made the straps that close the wrists a bit shorter, as the ends stick up and out.
