Perfect for 8 days in Iceland. Actually waterproof

Wore these for 8 days straight while hiking in Iceland. No blisters the whole time, just some irritation starting on the last day but not bad for not breaking them in at all. Kept water out when I was submerging my feet in stream water.

These shoes are awesome!

Bought these on clearance months ago. Wore them for the first time today. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. One of my feet has chronic issues with the little toe getting a pinch ulcer from it being curled under. I didn’t even need my silicone toe cap with these shoes. I was on my feet all day and not once did my little toe hurt. I can’t remember the last time I went all day with no issues, even with the toe cap. I have the black ones with the gray bottom. The leather must be full grain because every scuff buffed out with just my finger. Also, no creasing occurred on top of the shoe, which tends to happen with smooth leather. They must be made from sturdy leather. I couldn’t be happier with the quality and comfort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third pair of Newton Ridge boots. I work as a park ranger in the national parks, so I wear brown hiking boots every day. These are comfortable and waterproof. I do order a slightly larger size so that I can put orthotics in them.

I was surprised at how comfortable these are since I've been disappointed in the past with more expensive boots. It's hard to find a "wide" in boots as well. The craftmanship is excellent; I'm very pleased.
