Columbia Women's Plus Size Silver Ridge Omni-Shade Shirt

It’s kinda big compared to the other styles but I love the cloth texture.

I don't understand why they redesigned what used to be a great shirt. This version of the Silver Ridge LS shirt is AWFUL. They took a great shirt and made it a baggy mess with useless pockets. Two vertical Velcro tabs on a breast pocket? What are you thinking? The shoulders are at least an inch longer/wider and hang down oddly (they even look too long on their fit models), the arms have more fabric, and the fit is more boxy instead of shaped. They also vastly reduced the venting on the back panel to almost nothing just up at the shoulders. I own three of the Silver Ridge Long sleeve sun shirts from the previous season before they added the word 'utility' to the name. They have two mostly functional breast pockets (closed with Velcro flaps on top) and a great side zippered hidden pocket for keys. They fit great both in the torso and the shoulders. I wear one nearly every day in the summer, especially hiking and kayaking for sun protection. I wanted to buy more colours. Sadly my favorite shirt no longer exists. Also, Columbia what's with the ugly colours for women this season? Give us something bold! If men get cardinal red, mustard yellow, deep green, dark blue - why not women. I don't think a single person of any skin tone looks good in sad grey, pale pink, barely purple, or 'is this green or beige'?

The sizing is off. I wear XL in everything else I’ve bought from Columbia but is sized bigger.

Bought the white. Loved the feel of material, but very sheer. Could read the washing label through it. Size small worked for my 5'6" 137 lb flat chested self. Will exchange and try again.

They changed the colors! I have many of these shirts I use for birding. Often, I'm in a hot, horrible, jungle environment and the dark green helped me blend into the forest. Now, they have lighter colors. They have fantastic shirts, but now I can't get the color I need to do the activity I want. Some of us are not concerned with looking "pretty" when we are out. Some of us need good performance clothing!
