Zippered pocket on right leg!

Got these pants for work and they are great. The quality is superb. I chose a size 6 in the 12 inch option and they fit just where I needed them. I included a lot of pictures for reference. I’m 5’7, and 118 lbs.

Perfect material for active wear. New versions fit much smaller than same short from 5 years ago. Not too long for a ‘long short’ and sits well without riding up or twisting.

Just received these shorts today. When Columbia says active fit I know to buy a size up as this means these shorts are made for the “younger” consumer. They are a snug fit for sure with lots of give in the legs and the seat but not the waist. If you are over 50 you may want to order two sizes up for a more comfortable fit. They appear well made and should hold up for any activity.

So I have this short in the 5 inch length. My most favorite shorts ever! They are stretchy and allow you to move athletically while still looking great to run out to the store or casual dinner! I love the gusseted crotch. The pockets are very accommodating. I wear them for everyday stuff to running dog agility. I can stuff so many dog treats in my pockets! HA! I considered buying this in the longer length and having them hemmed however the leg pocket would interfere. That's how much I love them. This longer length I don't find appealing for my use and activities. I'm 5'10" and wear size 6 and they are just the right length. They don't leave you over exposed😉. I've been watching for the shorter version over the last 2 years and haven't seen them. Please bring them back so I can replenish my stock!!!

Fit changed from previous years

When I purchased two new pair to replace some worn pairs I noticed the material was much better than previous years. Unfortunately the cut was also changed to a lower riser and a smaller fit in the waist. 12 too tight, yet my 10’s still fit me. Probably because they sit on the hip not the waist.

Returned too small, sizing off.

Returned, too small. Bought size 4 shorts in 2022. Those shorts still fit so I know I didn't get bigger.

Not what they used to be.

Fabric has definitely changed recently. These are not flexible or stretchy. Instead they are stiff and scratchy.
And plan on ordering a full size up from what you may have had in Columbia in the past. I am usually a 12 in Columbia. I ordered a 14. And I cannot button them. Super disappointing as these have been my go to golf shorts for years.
