Columbia Women's Vast Canyon™ Softshell Trail Pants

The sizing was off compared to other Columbia pants I own. I normally take a size 4 and I couldn’t even get these closed by an inch or so. The leg is very narrow and it would be uncomfortable to wear if you were on a hike, etc. (no give to the material). The quality of the material appears to be very good though.

Size runs small. I bought two same sized pants, this is too small although it's the same size as the other pants. That's really annoying. You’d think that a. Single manufacturer could sort out their sizing for all their pants. No matter the style of fabric type.

I purchased this to replace a old pair I have that I loved. The size is so off. I am a size 6, i ordered a size 8. Ending up having to return for a size 12.

Really lovely! I'd say these fit very true to size and have a bit of a stretch to them, so if you're between sizes and want them to be very snug, you can probably get away with sizing down. The waist also has an adjuster strap, though, so you could totally size up if you're curvy and need more room for your...asset. The only reason I took off a star is because they seem to only come in one length and for us long legged gals, the 30 inch inseam is a littttle short. I'm going to see if I can stretch them slightly when wet. I think the full price is a little steep for what these are (they're like slightly thicker pants, not at all like a snowpant or anything) but I got them 50% off so I'm happy!

I bought these to replace a similar item from 2020. I bought a size 8. Everything fits well except the waist. There's no stretch and it's not proportionate to the rest of the garment. Maybe I got a bad pair but I will be returning it and sticking with my old pair.
