Traveled all over the Philippines and this bag was perfect for a day out. It has a water bottle holder as well as a divider in the bag and one zipper compartment to help me organize my things and find them quicker.
Surprisingly fits a lot more than you'd think!
One of favorite features is that if it's not too full you can morph it into a little backpack, which is very functional.
Last, it actually fit my laptop when I carried it on the plane with me and put my 35L Allpa up top.
Overall would highly recommend.

great for travel

I purchased this tote by accident several years ago, and now am on my second (that's how much I love it!). It seemed a bit big at first . . . but then I traveled internationally. Going sightseeing and shopping, I used the backpack option in order to haul all my purchases and also make it hard for pickpockets to access the tote. It has come on hikes and has carried many of my kids' rocks . . . filled to the rim sometimes. Yet, there was no wear and tear in the material. When one of the sippers finally broke, Cotopaxi replaced it through their warranty. It was a very simple and quick process. Here is what I like about the bag: It has an inner sipped compartment - great for putting my wallet to add an extra challenge to pickpockets. The inside is divided into two compartments and has a lot of storage space. There is also a small pocket on the inside which I use to cosmetic storage. I love the colors and the easy way it converts into a backpack. This style will be my purse for life.

What’s Not to Love?

Purchased this for an upcoming trip and it was love at first sight. The colors are fun, but the bag is so versatile and holds all my travel essentials for easy access. It has become my go to, every day bag. Can’t wait to add some other Cotopaxi bags to my travel list!

First, I love the color way that I received! I was a little nervous, but it turned out great. I ordered a colorful sweatshirt at the same time, and it’s almost as if someone chose a bag for me that reflected the same color palette. If not, what a fun coincidence! I can’t wait to take this bag on my next trip. Will use it as a crossbody and backpack. Love the interior bottle holder!

This is a great bag. Lightweight, but holds a ton. Love the zippered sections that help me stay organized with the essentials of keys, phone and lip balm. I wear it crossbody style. It fits my tall 2X body generously with no worries about too tight a strap.

The perfect bag

This is the only convertible bag I've ever owned that actually works as both a purse and a backpack. (Usually they are lousy at one or both). I love how lightweight it is (I carry a lot of stuff every day and the last thing I need it more weight). And the colors are just lovely. This is my second Taal Convertible Tote. When it wears out, I hope to buy another. Please don't discontinue!

I realized I needed a better carry-on system for air travel and loved my spouse’s Taal Tote explicitly because it converts to a backpack when needed. It has multiple sections and an internal water bottle holder. The first one has been with us for at least 3 years and going strong so this second one was a no brainer. It holds a lot but you can over fill it making the “backpack” nearly impossible to use because the straps get too small. However, when its in backpack mode, its also nearly impossible to get pickpocketed since the zipper is unreachable as well.
