Perfect Commuter Bag for School or Work

I bought this backpack to replace a 10 year old Dakine backpack that was starting to get a hole on the bottom. I am so happy I got a new Dakine because the styling and quality of their backpacks really can't be beat. LOVE the purple color and the pockets are perfect. The backpack is a perfect commuter bag as it can store my laptop and a few other things. Has a bit more room but isn't for someone who needs to store a lot of books or clothes, etc. The only thing that the description didn't properly tell you was that the inside lining of the bag is a bright lime green. Not horrible but wasn't expecting this.

I find this backpack to be heavy due to the padding which makes it really stiff and less flexible. Also the outside pockets for water bottle don’t stretch very much. I like the light green lining; easier to find things. Next time, I will buy another brand.

Looks nice, but quality has slipped

It’s a nice looking backpack, however the quality of materials wasn’t what I expected. I’ve purchased several DAKINE backpacks over the last 13 years, and this year, the materials aren’t up to par. It feels a little rough and the material is thin.
