Absolutely love this bike!

the ride is incredibly smooth and stable. it handles both city streets and light trails effortlessly. what really surprised me was how comfortable the seat is :) It’s also very responsive and easy to control, which makes it a joy to ride. Highly recommend this bike for anyone looking for a smooth, reliable, and comfortable ride.

excellent value for a commuter -

Great value for the price. Performs great. Love the upright riding position. Ran over a lot of glass and tires never went flat . Great cargo carrier. I mounted panniers on back and front. Handle bars are on the wider side and with panniers on the front rack I feel like a moose with a a wide head but works great

Friendly commuter

I bought this bike a week ago and it's the best bike I've owned the 2 guys who I got help from was great they found it fast as it was on sale for 510 but was still original price on bike and the tune up was fast too. For the bike it's amazing on the gravel road where I ride everyday and my sister who is a 5 ft 3 van easily ride the 43 medium size as well as I I'm 6 ft and already been using the front and back cargo for groceries which isn't noticeable with a full load and love the rapid gear levers makes transactions from pavement and gravel very fluid. Even with the 2.4 tire you can feel the bumps but with a saddle switch helps and for my first disk brakes stopping is nice a little more timing is needed compared to traditional brakes but is nice. The high rise bar makes it more comfortable for me and the bike is holding up my weight which is 265 at the moment and close to 300 with both cargos max out ( 20 lbs each might try 25 each). Will do a second review once 6 months come up plus will try winter riding too.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good bike, but unlucky purchase defective tire

I was really excited about this bike, when I tried it out in store it felt very smooth, the handle bars are wide, wheels are BIG and it’s supposed to come with both fenders a rack and basket. When I purchased it was missing the front fender and rack but multiple sportchek staff assured me I would be able to receive those parts once they come in and they would assemble them on it for free since it was meant to come with it anyways. Keep in mind this was the last one and it was completely out of stock at the first Sportchek I went to. I think due to it being the last one it must’ve been defective and the associate working there couldn’t have known (no blame towards them wasn’t their fault) Because it was working seemingly fine until my second week, my rear tire was deflating and a friend of mine pumped it up making sure to check the correct tire pressure. A few days later the rear tire EXPLODED the tire and tube completely busted and tire was coming off. There were no rocks or nails to have cause a pop I checked the surrounding area twice and the tires and I was leisurely going down the sidewalk so I wasn’t going fast. Thankfully I wasn’t hurt and I was able to return it for a full refund (was still within initial 30 days of purchase) all the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. There isn’t a front suspension and the seat doesn’t absorb any shock either so you feel bumps for sure, had the bike not been defective I could’ve utilized my year long warranty anytime I had issues and just switched out the the seat to a more comfortable suspension one and likely enjoyed the bike. The brakes are alright, they leave some to be desired you need to begin slowing down earlier than other bikes i’ve tried. They made a screech sound in rain but not too big of a deal. Also the kickstand barely keeps it up, it tips over with a light breeze and it can’t seem to stand up properly on slightly elevated ground. It’s Pros are that the gears shift well and it feels very stable to ride, doesn’t swerve. I’m sure that most people who purchase this bike will have all things in working order and get a lot of great use out of the bike. It visually looks great and I believe it can be good choice as long as you want a big bike to carry you and cargo around on. It’s not the fastest or lightest but it should be able to smoothly get you from point A to B. I got it on sale for around $400 after tax, I would not purchase this bike at full price i’d wait for the sale and wish all riders good luck! It was a really wonderful ride before the tire had an issue and it’s unlikely that others will also get a defective one just make sure to keep your receipts and warranty in case!

Thoroughly wrecked bike

The gear shift was smashed up and the bike is all scratched. Trying to get this replaced or repaired has been infuriating, as I paid to have the bike made already.

Just not that good tbh

This bike is a road bike, not a hybrid. If you live somewhere where you will be ridding on smooth asphalt with no turns this will be perfect for you! The locking nuts, specifically the ones that hold the front basket on will fail, be prepared to get injured. Going from the road onto the sidewalk is very difficult for this bike. If you want to turn when riding at any point you'll need to make sure you have lots of room.

No, I do not recommend this product.
