One the worst purchasing experience, the bike broke after one and half month, three gears are worn out and the chain is damaged, Sport Check store said it’s not under warranty and referred me to customer service and customer service (His name is Gustavo) mentioned we need to do an investigation, the bike is unfunctional over a month and they are still holding their investigation. I am so frustrated, and I don’t recommend this product and Sport Check at all as their customer service is horrible, they sell you a crap and don’t accept the responsibility.

Great bike for the price, stock seat is not good, but easily replaced. Also spring forks suck after 10 rides, again an easy fix

I loved it at first - took it out for a ride on single track trail on the precambrian shield granite hills and it performed better than expected. It climbed well and even cornered well - which because of the weight was a concern. Within 4 months after about 5 minutes of cycling it no longer provided constant power no matter which power level was selected. it provided power on acceleration and hill climbing but cut out again on level terrain. I brought it back and the techs found nothing wrong. I brought it along to AZ for the winter and had it checked out at a Diamondback dealer in Mesa and asked for a report on the cause of this and they could only offer likely causes as they had no diagnostic equipment for this bike which is not sold in the US. On return home I brought it back again and again was told by techs who were told by their Diamondback techs that there was nothing wrong with my bike. I was thankful at the offer of a refund, however I need to shop again but this time will spend more and better research the servicability of the product.

commutes well (30km) but less comfortable for long tours (60km+) due to frame design. After purchase, upgraded grips, stem, seatpost to improvecomfort. Battery lasts 65km on flat terrain. Motor good for hills/wind. Lacks mounts for racks/bags, no replacement support, some shops refused service. Great for short commutes/exploring, not ideal for touring/long rides. Consider custom bike for touring.

The bike itself is decent but I'm giving a 1 star review because I can't find a spare battery. I've contacted Sport Chek customer service and they do not sell spare batteries for this bike. www.blackdiamond-canada.ca does not have any contact information, everything points back to the retailer and/or Sport Chek. I contacted Blackdiamond (US) and they do not support this product and recommended I go back to Sport Chek. It should not be this hard to find a spare part for this bike.

I purchased this bike from Sportcheck online. It was delivered two weeks after placing the order, Ok ! The bike arrived without any tools for assembly, Ok ! I was initially pleased with the bike's appearance and overall finish. During the first week of use, everything seemed to be in order. Unfortunately, in the second week, the chain started skipping frequently, and after just two weeks of use, the bike completely broke down. The incident occurred as I was riding; suddenly, the chain snapped and caused me to lose my balance, resulting in a fall. NOT OK! I promptly took the bike to the Sportcheck store for servicing. It took them 4 days to rectify the issue. However, I encountered an unsettling response from one of their mechanics. He attempted to attribute the breakdown to my actions, suggesting that my use of the smallest gear only had caused the gear to wear and crack, subsequently breaking the chain. He even advised against using this gear and recommended shifting to other gears to avoid a recurrence. Furthermore, he warned that if the gear were to crack again, they would not provide further repairs. Yet, there are several points that the mechanic seemed to overlook: Firstly, my bike was only two weeks old and should not have experienced such a rapid breakdown unless a significant underlying issue was present. Secondly, I frequently shifted gears while riding. Thirdly, I am a mechanical design engineer with over 15 years of experience in the field. The design of this bike is very weak. Upon my initial observation, I questioned the durability of these small chains and sprockets against the combined forces of human pedaling and motor assistance. The bike's design appears fundamentally flawed, disregarding basic engineering principles of power transmission systems (chains and sprockets). Lastly, the larger gears (lower speeds) appear impractical, especially in an electric bike with motor assistance. In reality, riders tend to utilize the smallest five gears at most. I deeply regret my decision to purchase this bike and intend to work with Sportcheck to arrange its return. I strongly advise potential buyers to think twice before buying this bike.
