It has enough cushion for you to be able to use bare hands going about 50-70% power. So far I have had no issues with the bag and I use it for pretty much every circuit training session. My wife's little brother also likes getting training on the bag (he's 10). I love how I can bring it down to his high for him to get his rounds in but bring it up for me to show him different techniques.

With steady hit and jabs with boxing gloves on this punching bag simulates as one of the most professional experiences I’ve ever used as training it serves as not only a training bag but an agility test as the sand caused the punching bag to stay nice and firm.
