Fitbit Charge 5 Advanced Fitness Tracker + GPS

Ordered on a Saturday and was cancelled by Sportchek 2 days later. Can't provide a review for something I never received.

I am very happy with my Fitbit as well as the price I paid.

Band is wide and plastic which doesn’t allow the skin beneath it to breathe. I have to wear very loosely or my skin develops sores beneath the band.

Exactly what I expected. Fits well and does exactly what I wanted it to.

It is perfect. Charge lasts forever. Calculates steps, sleep, HR, and sooooo much more!

Not as good as my old Charge 4. Needs recharging more frequently-every 3 days. 5 days ago I had logged over 18,000 steps and seconds later it lost almost everything and said I had 217 steps total and display showed date of 2 days later and time of day was also hours out of line. Watch is less than a month old.

I bought one of these 8 months ago and I’m already on my 3rd, first one the band popped off the watch body mid run and I lost it, second one got wet while washing my hands and it completely fried the thing. But I will say I had a new one free in 3 weeks both times. Day to day it’s a cheaply made product, the charger design is terrible, the magnetic is too weak to line it up right and must be carefully positioned to actually charge, I’d say 2 in 5 times I find my watch completely dead after ensuring it was charging when I left it. The thing really struggles to stay connected to my phone and sometimes uploading the data the watch has collected takes 3-4 minutes other times 10 seconds, atleast once an every couple months I have to hard reset the watch so it will connect to my IPhone 13. The find my phone function has never worked once, it can be in my pocket and still does nothing. I’ve been hooked up to hospital heart monitors and it was 20bpm lower than what the Fitbit was reading at the time. Only good thing I can say is the battery lasts 5-6 days if it actually charges, if it was 50$ it might be worth purchasing but 200 is outrageous

Fitbit has informed me that the manufactures warranty does not to my device because I bought it from SportChek who is an "unauthorized reseller". Seemed like a good product and then began glitching about 6 months in. Continually asked for a payment card (I think it contactless payment sensor was glitching). This error came and went in waves but the watch would buzz each time, waking me up in the middle of the night. Contacted support multiple times. They refused to do anything. I kinda got used to it, but often annoying because the add payment card message would block the screen from even showing the time. But then 11 months into ownership the watch just died one night and no longer starts up. Contacted fitbit support and was passed to the warranty department and then told that they don't honor the expected manufacture's warranty because it was purchased at SportChek.
