Being a soccer/basketball official for 18 years - this is what 99.99% of us use to call our games. The person (Nikki211) who said that the sound isn't sharp should learn to use it properly. Like anything, there is a technique to blowing it properly. Check out Hary Milas on YouTube for a quick tutorial!

Bought for daughter reffing volleyball and she loves it. Rubber mouthpiece is much easier on her teeth and still puts out loud noise needed but drives me nuts. perfect for loud gyms. only complaint is we had to order it in at the store as not carried in stock

It's VERY loud. Do not blow beside somebody. Used CMG whistle for over 10 years now officiating volleyball!
