Garmin Forerunner 45S Fitness Watch

Measurements of current pace can vary. Mile pace and average pace are very helpful. Used to train for a marathon and worked great for pace, distance and heart rate.

Great entry-level watch. Ran my first marathon with it. Great entry training plans included. Been using it for 3 plus years and have never had an issue!

I have had this watch for about 2 years. The battery life is great; I only charge it about once per week. I am not gentle with watches, and this one is no exception. I have smacked it on so many things and there are no signs of damage. It is easy to use and has all of the basic features that I need + more. I like that it is fairly slim as I am not a fan of chunky watches. I would highly recommend this product!

Used for cycling and running. Does well with sweat and light rain. Good, not great.

I have used my watch to tracking running, walking, hiking and biking. It is versatile and doesn't have the feel of a bulky watch. It didn't seem to track my hear rate when I was sweating a lot under the watch so that is a downfall. I would recommend this watch for someone who has started working out in the intermediate range of hiking and running.

I really like my Garmin watch. It has been doing a great job of keeping track of my heart rate and steps. I have used the coaching feature to start training for running 5KM. I've used one of the apps to change the face. I do prefer interacting with buttons. My friends and I use the Garmin Connect app to challenge each other to move more and help each other with training. I have a very small wrist, and this watch is a good size to not overwhelm my hand. I do have a hard time with figuring out how much battery is left. I still can't tell if the sleep tracking is of any help. The white band seems like it's going to need a little more maintenance to continue looking clean.

Relative to Garmin's other models, the forerunner 45 is great option that won't break the bank. It's a work horse in that it's reliable under tough conditions while providing basic data fields for numerous activities.
