GPS with added satellite messaging

This GPS works the same as most other Garmin units. The EarthMate App on my smartphone syncs perfectly with the GPS unit. Messaging has been working well. You can message through the App or directly from the device. It is a bit tricky messaging from the device so I utilize the App. But it is good to know that you can still get messages out should your smartphone die.

Lack of memory card slot

Great unit and relatively easy to use. Good piece of mind to message someone on your whereabouts ect. Wish it tracked your trail better but its main feature is the communication ability so it works as intended. Would also be nice to have a slot for memory card to upload better maps like other garmin gps units.
