    Works like a charm

Bought this for a trip to Appalachia and I’m glad I did. Had ZERO cell coverage but I was able to communicate with home with my InReach mini. The preloaded texts are great. Customized texts are a little cumbersome, but not impossible, even for a Gen Xer. I secured it to my backpack with a D-ring and it was completely out of the way. It definitely adds a little peace of mind.

Planned a trip to Alaska in Yukon hunting moose. This was a remote area & I knew no phone service existed. I used in reach to stay in touch with my friends & outfitter.

At this point, I am only buying things that charge on a USB-C, which I'm really glad the Mini 2 has. Other than that, I don't think there's much difference between the original Mini and the Mini 2. I personally prefer having buttons (vs the inReach thing that you can only operate from your phone), because I do sometimes adventure without the phone (shocking!) and also my phone often dies on longer trips (no surprise), and I'd rather not charge two things

Lost my last inReach while backcountry skiing and immediately had to purchase a new one. Used this for a week while hiking the Wonderland Trail and it was great for keeping in touch with my family and sending them updates. Synced seamlessly with my phone and was very quick on sending messages out. An inReach will always be part of my backcountry kit.

I hike, snowmobile, dirt bike, and paddle in a lot of remote places with no phone coverage. Its always a concern to be able to contact someone for help if I have an issue. This device is small, light and easy to use. Long battery life and great features. Just used on a 4 day hiking trip and had battery left to spare.

Bought this a month ago for a planned remote hunting trip where I knew there was going to be little service, if at all. Came in handy to let my wife know I was ok.

I love this little unit to keep in touch with family while in remote areas. I’ve never had to use the SOS feature but it’s nice to know it’s there. It’s a must for adventures. The size is great. The battery lasts about a week. The small size is convenient but it makes communicating a little challenging unless you pair it your phone which adds to the complexity and shortens battery life of devices. Overall I would recommend this to adventurers!
