Update.. for those of you who cannot use Goal Zero panels for some reason, maybe you should look into a electric start generator. Just sayin.

I have the Ranger 300, Nomad 200, two Nomad 100, and a Nomad 50. On a sunny day with all the panels chained I can get @ 485 watts draining into my yeti 1500.. I can charge my mower batteries, my power tool batteries, and run a small fridge no problem. if you can imagine a bee hive (YETI) and worker bees, (smaller batteries) then you can really power pretty much anything with the Goal Zero setup. Oh, and I have experimented let me tell you. Thanks Goal Zero, very impressed.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent power/weight ratio, and storage size

We began using this Ranger 300 solar array three weeks ago, and it has produced 245 watts in slightly hazy sunshine. Its solar efficiency (actual output / rated output) has exceeded that of our Nomad 200 and Nomad 100 solar arrays, and has been roughly comparable to our Boulder 200 array. Compared to the Boulder 200, the Ranger 300 provides 50% more power while weighing 3 pounds less and folding more compactly for storage. Haven't had to clear bird droppings from this non-glass cover, yet, so we can't comment about ease of cleaning. We chose to reinforce the carrying case with corrugated panels to protect the Ranger 300 solar panels when stored. The Ranger 300 has excellent power/weight ratio, and storage size.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Love it - powerful & lightweight

Love this solar panel so much - it is huge, but easy to move around. I love that it is lighter than the Boulder 200 - but more powerful! I wish they would make the Ranger in 100 & 200 versions - talk about a true lightweight solar panel.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Ranger 300 Solar Panel

The Ranger 300 is great for charging our Yeti 1500x. On a good, sunny day, we can get to 100% charge (from ~40%) within about 4-6 hours. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that when this is collapsed and put inside its case, the outer panels face outwards. It would be really easy to damage those panels if the case gets dinged while handling. It would be nice if the outer panels could be protected in some way inside the case.

Yes, I recommend this product.
