One of the best packs for travel

This is my second Gregory pack as I needed something with a bit more space as I travel/ fly a lot. Gregory are well built packs, nicely designed with high quality materials and also have a lifetime guarantee which is great to see. The Rhune 22 is a very deceptive bag and doesn't appear too big but in fact is cavernous in the main pocket. I was looking at a pack which would work as a flight personal bag and perhaps occasional 1-3 day trip pack on my travels. The pack is well organised and offers good 15-inch laptop + tablet protection, plus good organisation of pens, passports, electronics, plus a bottle carrier There are some sensible storage options and I liked the secret pocket at the side and also the ear pod pocket on the strap. There is a small zippered well protected niknak pocket ideal for glasses/wallet. The pack is a little weighty but thats because its well made, but the straps and back material are very good at distributing the load and its a very comfortable pack for long treks across airports or in town getting to the hotel. I had a option of the Black and Coyote Brown and the brown won me over with its teal contrasting inner colour. A versatile pack with many options. If I had a gripe it would be there is no closure on the laptop sleeve but the pack does a good job of protecting your computer.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Clever design, but poor manufacturing/materials

I really admired the design of this backpack, but it started to fall apart very quickly. The zipper on the top pocket came off first, then the side pocket became loose, and the back mesh area started to wear away. I stopped using it once the stitching in the shoulder strap came undone. I was using the backpack for bike commuting and a little travel, not climbing mountains. I expected it to be far more durable.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Backpack and delivery

Slow to move the order to delivery status. Should be at my home in two days max as others can do this. Took significantly longer. Otherwise it was good. The backpack is very nice and arrived in perfect condition.

Recommended backpack for everyday carry.

Very Good. Get the black version for everyday carry. One laptop sleeve which fits 15" macbook comfortably. One tablet sleeve that fits iPad pro comfortably. Main compartment is large for at least 2 thick textbooks. Secondary compartment is large enough to stack maybe 4 iPads. Top small compartment is good for keeping quick access items such as airpods. Side zippable compartment is great for storing car keys and other stuff that need to be stored a bit more discreetly. One bottom holding mesh is good for carrying tumblers.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Nice commuter bag.

Two weeks and im very happy- replaced a 32L ‘technical” bag with a compact commuter. Good: light, zippers, well thought out pockets, light colored interior = easier to find stuff. Places for improvement: Im 5’8” , 175 lbs and the shoulder straps could be a bit wider at the neck and longer for comfort. They do the job but the bigger packs give a bit more coverage. Big enough for 16 inch laptop, tablet, chargers, shoes and a puffer jacket which is plenty for daily needs.

Will not stand ...

I like this daypack very much, except for the fact that the bottom shape is such that the back will not stand up.

Yes, I recommend this product.
