Garbage

Bought it assembled in Victoria. The breaks did not fully engage. Took it back to Sportchek on the mainland, they could not fix the brakes. This is a garbage bike. And the seat is akin to medieval torture device. Thankfully, Sportchek took it back. Very impressed with their customer service in Pitt Meadows.

Low Quality Bike and Poor Customer Service

Low-quality bike not worth a penny over 200 CAD. SportChek’s customer service was just as bad. They sent the bike without mentioning that I wasn’t supposed to assemble it myself, and that it needed to be taken to a store. I ended up dealing with a lot of hassle putting it together, and the front brake was faulty too. Definitely not doing this again.

Bike itself is good. The handlebars are too wide for me, I’ve got long arms and it feels like I’m reaching far out. Wish they would have let me test the bike out first before purchasing. I probably would have passed on it.

Great bike for the price. The bike was tuned after purchasing but I did still have to adjust the brakes as the front brake hardly grabbed at all. The gears also make a slight clicking sound so ill have to get that checked out.

My wife wanted an entry level bike. Didn’t want to pay the price for a trek, giant or norco from a local shop.
Settled for this GT and quickly learned the disappointment.
Purchased online for in store pickup. Once we got there we realized the pictures online didn’t match the bike. The fork was different.
Being excited to just have a new bike. She brought it home. Fresh out of the store. Never made it 5 km and the derailleur wouldn’t shift properly.
Brought it right back the same day for a full refund.
Save yourself the time and disappointment. You get what you pay for.
