Arrived stained, bad customer service

This arrived from an online order in a stained damaged package. I reached out to Sport Chek online to ask about returns since I am disabled, but never heard back. Over a week later I managed to return it to the store. The staff said, "oh it's just the package" and I replied that I expect new items to look new, and that I was planning to use the sleeve to store my strap. The stain looked gross and I do not know what it is/ Food? Someone's body fluid? It looked gross. Also what if I had bought it as a gift? Am I supposed to give a stained thing to someone as a gift? Sport Chek is not a yard sale. Items should be in new condition. Customer service still has not gotten back to me about it. I am so disappointed. It makes me hesitate to shop here again because it was such a hassle.
No, I do not recommend this product.
