Warm and Dry

I ordered the Vancouver and the Halifax rain jackets because I couldn't tell the difference between them online. I chose to return the Vancouver and keep the Halifax for several reasons. The Halifax has a light lining to it, which makes it better for the type of weather I deal with in Southwestern Ontario. The Vancouver had elastic cuffs around the wrists, which would be good to keep you dry, but I didn't like the feeling of it being tight around my wrists. Whereas the Halifax has open wrist cuffs with a velcro attachment to close it in if you need it to be more secure. The Vancouver had the hood as an extension of the collar, which made the hood tight to get over my head. The Halifax had the hood separate from the collar so it is easier to zip up the collar if the wind is a little too much on my neck, but I don't want to have the hood up. This jacket has been great so far for keeping me warm and dry while walking my dog in rainy weather.
