Helly Hansen Women's Powchaser Lifaloft Winter Ski Jacket, Insulated, Hooded, Waterproof

Great ski jacket. Comfortable, light weight. I haven’t tried it in the deep cold, but it was perfect for a moderately cold day. May need extra layers underneath on very frigid days. Only complaint is that the sleeves are very long. I have slightly longer than average arms and the cuffs reached my mid-palm. It was okay while skiing, but when I took my gloves off the long sleeves were a bit annoying. Otherwise, I am very happy with this jacket!

I bought the Powchaser in dark and light purple with orange, I love the looks of it!! I bought in 2 sizes as I was unsure of the fit. I'm normally a size large and this large was perfect fit in terms of length but was a bit too tight around stomach (mom tum) and hips especially with ski pants and layering. For some reason the large showed "regular fit" on the label in the jacket, the XL showed "relaxed fit". I ended up going with the XL even though it was way too long because it fit better in the stomach when layering but this XL one is probably still too baggy for my liking. I kept it only because it was on sale for 70% off the normal manufacturer's price. I wish the size large was relaxed fit as all the others were and then I think it would've been perfect. The description is wrong as it does NOT have a thumbhole or a removable powder belt. The sleeves are so abnormally long - it's weird, I just roll the sleeves up. Haven't worn this jacket skiing yet but will have to wear layers in our Canadian winters as it's quite thin for the really really cold days. Overall I think this will be a great ski jacket!
