(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I purchased this item about one month ago and found it to be exactly what I needed. It is light weight, check! with a spacious seat, check! and simple set up, check ! The design is very thoughtful and I appreciate the smoothness of the legs when they are pulled out an lock into place every single time. It is very well built. I used it every day , but there is a word of caution I am going to share. You will lose your BTR if you do not secure it because it is incredibly light weight and the legs are smooth, if it slips out of your pack pocket or in my case dog buggy, your will not notice until it is too late. Sadly, I lost my Little BTR, but I am so happy I found this Canadian company to help me with another BTR purchase!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is a great multipurpose stool. Hillsound sent me this product to test out and review and it’s been a great addition to my backcountry field gear. It is compact, light and easy to use. When I’m not in the field, it lives in my car where I use it at the beach or to sit and enjoy the view on a quick local trail walk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this stool for a few months. It’s been a go to from shoreline fishing to flying it across the country to use on the sidelines of my daughter’s tournaments. I choose it over my hiking chair. Very portable and much easier to set up and break down. I just wish it had a sling to go hands free walking around the sports fields, but that is only an issue when I don't have my backpack cooler with me. Otherwise, it fits in the side mesh pocket like a water bottle. I’m 6’ and prefer the 20”.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this after looking for a lightweight and compact stool. I was also looking for one that could be deployed and put away quickly. The BTR stool fit the bill. I keep it in my car when I will be out all day and it has been come in clutch a few times already. I'm also interested to use this when I go to concerts and amusement parks. As I'm getting older, I realized that I get tired a lot easier these days and the BTR stool is such a great addition to provide a short break throughout the long days.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brilliant engineering. Top-notch materials. Thoughtful design. I swapped out my collapsible chair for this three-legged stool before leaving to hike the Tour du Mont Blanc, a 10-day trek through the French, Italian and Swiss Alps, and so glad I did! Any time we set down our packs, whether it was lunch, a break for treating hot-spots on feet, or just enjoying the magnificent panorama, the BTR came out and became part of my routine. I even used it while waiting for a delayed train. At 13.5" x 3" it's about the size of a 33 oz. Smartwater bottle and easily carried in a stretch pocket, bungeed to the side of your pack, or even in a bottle holster. And deploying the BTR is simple; extend the legs until you hear an audible 'click', then twist the legs into a tripod - all of which takes less than 15 seconds. When it's time to move on, packing up us just as quick. The 17" model was the perfect height for me, making the move from standing to seated and vice-versa a very natural movement; unlike the collapsible chairs that seem to swallow you whole. A 14" and 20" are also available. The PhantomLock system is pure genius, allowing the legs to be extended or collapsed when they are parallel, yet locked when in the tripod position. It's the magic behind making this such a compact unit. The legs are made of 7001 aluminum, and the mesh seat is nylon, both of which seem plenty durable for years of outdoor use. If needed, the seat can be removed and/or replaced. The feet are plastic and provided all the grip and support I required on firm ground and rock, but I could see how they might sink in a bit if on soft or sandy terrain. The BTR is rated to support up to 240 lbs., and at 14.7 oz this compact wonder might even find some love in the ultra-light crowd. The bottom line, this is a winner for Hillsound and anyone who wants to make their treks a little more enjoyable!

    Yes, I recommend this product.
