Hillsound 17 Inch BTR Stool

This is an awesome ultralight stool. My husband and so purchased this to replace a different compact stool. We were looking for a stool that is more compact, weighs less, and still sturdy. We’re very pleased with how compact and light this stool is. It doesn’t feel as sturdy as the other stool we have but honestly, we love how light it is. We tried it out on one hike so far and really enjoyed using the stool.

I’ve owned and used several of the top ultralight camping chairs over the years, and I decided to purchase this one because of its simple, hassle-free setup. I was absolutely amazed by the overall quality, stability, and strength of the chair. At 6’2” and 210 pounds, I found it to be the perfect size and very comfortable. Well done on an outstanding design!

I am very impressed with this little stool and it has officially earned a permanent spot on my gear checklist.

I purchased both the 14” and the 17” BTR stools. I am a wildlife photographer and sometimes I go out lighter than other times, so I wanted both options. I have gone through my share of super light stools in many different forms. The BTR stool beats every other brand I have tried, for lightness, portability, eases of use, and strength. It is comfortable enough for extended use sitting and waiting out in the field— the 17” more so, as it has a slighter larger seat area. I will take this stool backpacking, hiking, and even out for a day at the beach.

Carried the 17” BTR Stool on a self-support kayak trip in Northern Maine- made a great perch for cooking and eating, lightweight and compact enough to be worthwhile in my kit. I added a foam sit pad which helped with comfort on frosty mornings.
