How to FIX Leaking issue

The leaking issue is from a thin clear gasket on the inside of the bottom portion of the lid that rests on the top of the cup. This is NOT the larger red/orange gasket on the inside of the disassembled lid. If you take the lid off, turn it upside down and look in, you will see a thin clear/opaque rubber gasket. When taking off the lid to fill the cup, it sometimes falls out. It's hard to see on the counter because it is clear. So when you fill your cup up, and screw the lid back on, if that little clear ring has fallen out on the counter or the floor, coffee will leak out between the the lid and the rim of the coffee cup (no matter how tight you have screwed the lid back on. As long as I am careful to watch for this and put it back in when it falls out, there are no leaking problems.

Rust inside

I love the size of this model--not too big and not too small. I've had mine for about 5 years now and the inside bottom is starting to rust. Also, I found early on that the Sip Lid leaks, but I switched it for a lid from my wide-mouth bottle and that resolved the issue.

My second Coffee with Flex Sip Lid

I liked it so much that I recently bought a second. The second lid is looser than the first, but after one week, it still seems leak-proof.

Wish the top was a bit easier to get off to clean, but wouldn't sacrifice its leakproof status for that.

Lid needs to be reworked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used Hydroflask for the past two years. We each have 2. One for use as a travel flask for water and another for a bedside water bottle. We purchased 2 more this time with the Flex Sip lid to replace our old Nissan travel mugs for hot coffee in the car. The Flex Sip Lid is awful. We each burned our upper lip. We just ordered and received two 16 oz travel mugs from Yeti for the same purpose and we are able to drink and enjoy or coffee without burning our upper lip. Love your drink ware but the Flex Sip Lid needs to be seriously engineered.

This cup is not leakproof

This coffee with flex sip is not great, and is fully not leakproof. Whenever I wash it, the water gets trapped in the middle of the flex sip lid, and then leaks out the side. I'm looking for another compatible lid with this 16oz bottle that has a handle and possible straw or smaller opening
