That extra bit of needed warmth

These are very versatile in 200 weight. I use them whenever I need extra warmth doing anything from a cold evening out in the city to backcountry hiking and motorcycling. I particularly like the 3/4 length as it eliminates unnecessary bulk when packed and doesn't interfere with socks and boots. The wool is soft and non-itchy. I also prefer the no fly style to eliminate extra fabric layers. Recommended.

Perfect 3/4 length base layer long johns

I coach ski racing and am on the snow 5 days a week all winter long. I have started the season with a 7 day camp out in Colorado and wore these every day. Since we were staying in a hotel, there was no way to wash them. I had 2 pairs but wore 1 pair all 7 days and there was no stink. They kept their form and shape and fit well. They did not ride up to the back of my knees like some of the other 3/4 synthetic long johns out there. The seams are in all the right places and they are thick enough for a bit of warmth and airflow but not so thick that you get hot.

I wanted something that wasn't bulky or too tight. These are perfect for a simple warmth layer under your ski bibs. They're not sweaty or restrictive. Just comfy for all-day use. I wore them all season, no problems. The fit seemed true to size. I'm about a 33-34" waist so I got a large, but a medium might have also worked if I wanted them to fit more snugly.

As a ski instructor I see every condition imaginable. This is my go to base layer bottom. I have always loved Ice Breaker products and this did not disappoint.

I switched from a heavy-weight synthetic nike baselayer to these for this ski season and love them. I wanted the 3/4 cut because my feet often get cold and figured it would help with bunching fabric. I run really warm, especially while skiing, so this has been the perfect weigh for me. They're super light and fit very well without being tight and restrictive (6'1", 230lbs, athletic build, 36" waist: XL purchased). I've put about 20 days on these, mostly resort skiing- some BC, and have had no issues or concerns with durability. Would highly recommend

The 200 weight layer is the versatile base layer in the icebreaker line. I have a pair of 150 weight baselayer leggings but I find myself only reaching for these on warmer winter days or high aerobic activities (skate skiing). I have a pair of 260 weight leggings and I wear these when riding chairs on cold winter days, but they are pretty warm for ski touring or backcountry hiking unless it’s really cold. The 200 weight is perfect for most days in the winter….. ski touring and resort skiing, snowshoeing and hiking, outdoor parade watching, these baselayer leggings are think enough to keep you warm, but don’t overheat when you start moving a bunch. Think of them as the happy layer in the middle!
