Product Details

The benchmark against which all others are judged, the 200 Oasis Legless are icebreaker's ultra-comfortable base layer bottoms that make the perfect foundation for your everyday cold-weather layering system. Made with 100% merino wool jersey fabric that’s breathable, insulating, and odor-resistant, the Oasis features a slim fit and gusseted construction for unrestricted freedom of movement. The short leg eliminates bunching when worn with boots, and the brushed elastic waistband and flatlock seams throughout eliminate chafing. Inspired by nature, icebreaker harnesses the performance qualities of natural fibers to offer an alternative to clothing based on petrochemical synthetics. Merino is an annually renewable fiber that naturally resists odors, keeps you cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s not, and lets your skin breathe for comfort all day, every day.

    Comfortable, warm, plastic free

I love icebeaker. I wear these every day under my scrubs in the ER. They keep me warm but I don't overheat or sweat. I can wear them multiple days before washing. I love they there is no plastic or harsh chemicals. They will be great for hiking and camping too! I am a woman but I am tall (Women's Large) and a Men's medium fits me perfectly!

This is an excellent base layer. I’ve been using it on a daily basis in sub-zero temperatures and it breathes well yet keeps me warm, doesn’t hold the smell and is very comfortable. Unlike many other fabric types wool does not make me itch so that is a HUGE plus. Sizing was a little large so beware, that being said this is a life saver if you accidentally wash it in a machine wash and dry it. Overall I recommend it.

    Perfect for Montana winters.

I like having wool shirts for next to skin layering and for shirts in general. Polyester, nylon and other synthetics just do not do well in the stink department. I have had Icebreaker shirts before and they hold up relatively better than some other brands of wool shirts. The 200 and 260 is a perfect layer under a wool shirt or sweater and also by itself for spring and fall days. It wicks well and even when it gets damp, I still feel warm. It dries fast and I can wear it all day whether hiking, hunting, backpacking ordoing chores and it does not stink. I will be buying more as I phase out my synthetics.

Looking for a shirt that can be worn as a shirt or a base layer, this is the one. I own quite a few of other merino shirts and the problem that I run into is that they don’t always come out of the washer the same way they went in, I have not that problem with this shirt. One thing I don’t love is at if you hang them on a hanger the ends of the hanger stretch out the shoulders out so you have little bumps in the middle of your shoulders, but I have not found merino that does not do this.

    Great Warm Base Layer

I use this base layer for colder days skiing and steelhead fishing in the Great Lakes Region. I pair it with a fleece mid layer and then an insulated outer layer and I’ve never been warmer while fishing in the winter. This is one of my first pieces of merino base layers and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to polyester. I do recommend hang drying merino wool after washing. It will definitely shrink if dried with heat.
