Great padding, odor control, color. Mold to my feet, but they are thick, so need a bit of extra room in the footware, but my hiking boots have that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just returned from a trip to Iceland where I fully trail tested the Merino Hike Heavy Crew socks. I'd brought along a few pairs of merino wool socks from another well known brand that I ended up not wearing at all because the Icebreaker socks outperformed them by a mile. The heavy crew socks felt great on, with the perfect amount of cushion. They never slipped down despite wearing them with hiking boots and walking several miles in a day, and kept my feet warm and dry. I also wore Icebreaker base layer tops throughout the trip which performed exceptionally well. This was my first time ever wearing any Icebreaker gear--I tried the brand out based on several recommendations from outdoor enthusiasts and because there was a sale going on at the time. I'm so glad I did. Icebreaker will be my go to choice from now on.

Super warm socks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These socks are great for keeping my feet warm in the depths of winter! I'm a shoe-size 7.5, which is on the small end for the size medium and so heavy winter socks can feel a bit bulky, but a size small would have been to tight I think.

I was looking for a warm and thick sock that could withstand the beating on my feet. The trail was full of rocks, roots and narly ascents and descents. The Merino Hike+ did not disappoint! Kept my soles cushioned, and feet warm and dry.

Favorite hiking socks
