No Audio Signal for Low Battery

I have been a JBL fan for years. I have the ANC 770s, the Flip 4, and the Flip 6. Fair warning, the JBL Flip 6 DOES NOT have an audio signal for a low battery. The speaker will just die and turn its self off while you are listening to your music. This kills the battery life and makes the speaker significantly less portable. I should not have to keep my speaker plugged in while I am using it to ensure that it won't die. There should be an audio signal so I can plug it in for charging, and continue to listen. Instead of the speaker just randomly dying with zero audio warning. The sound quality is always good, and it's a good speaker otherwise. Externally durable. Though, disappointed that my gift's battery life will be affected. My speaker used to play 4-6 hours on 75% volume, now it can hardly do 2-3 hours on half volume.

Our JBL Flip 6 emits an audible sound notification (a distinct descending chime or tone) when its battery is running low. In addition to the sound, the LED indicator near the charging port will start flashing a pulsing red light to visually warn you that it's time to plug it in before it powers down. On the other hand, it has a playtime of up to 12 hours which may be reduced when you turn up the volume, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Battery playtime also decreases as the battery ages and all batteries, over time, will slowly wear down. Please charge the speaker to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, please contact our customer support for further assistance.

Volume Concern

I’m a little disappointed in this flip 6 speaker. We use it outside when we’re in the pool and it seems we are always having to raise the volume up. I’m not sure what the issue could be though. Does it decrease the volume when it starts getting hot? We downloaded the app and we’re glad you can adjust the bass, etc.
