A fix to the flame blowout on the Stash!

This is a 3.5 star product, but my easy hack has turned it into a 4.5 star. This is a lightweight, easy-packable cook system that works well (if no wind at all). Any wind and the flame blows out. But I found an easy and super cheap fix and NO creative modification or flimsy aluminum pie pan hacks. A simple steel band clamp, used for clamping car coolant hoses. The one I have is a 1 3/4” with finger adjuster. It works incredibly well and adds so little weight and fits in the pot with everything else. The band clamp doesn’t need to be tightened around the burner, best if loos and sits on the tripod pot holder. The screw slots in the band allow for air flow to the burner, but the solid side of band prevents flame blow out. And I’ve tried. A lot. It stays lit until you turn it off.
Now if they could have had a built in piezoelectric sparkler, instead of bringing a lighter… it would be a 5/5.
Oh and if it had the ceramic coating it would be a 10/5. Then I could Actually cook in it and not just boil water…
Now this is my go to light weight hike camping cook system.

I've now been out twice with this stove. I love how the fuel cannister nests within the pot to make a self contained unit in my pack. Even more so, I love boiling water in 90 seconds or less. With 15-20 minutes to wait for meals to rehydrate, at least I'm getting the water boiled quickly and without wasting any fuel.

The actual product is good, but the stabilizer that comes along with it is cheap. The plastic clip just broke off when detaching from the canister.
