This stove is a great option for those looking to heat water in the back country. It boils water super fast and with minimal fuel. I just used it on a 5 day backpacking trip in Glacier National Park and didn't even finish a single 100g fuel canister. It was perfect for all my freeze dried meals and hot beverages. If more than one person is using the stove, it might be worth getting the 1L size for a little bit of time savings, but I'd rather cut the weight in my pack.

We have the older version of this system and love it! We use it on every backpacking trip we take. Minimal weight, quick boil, and stacks away to maintain minimal space. It is efficient and allows us to cook great meals, coffee, and tea.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Zip 0.8L is just want I need when you carry your camp on your back during Elk season. The Zip is the right size, fits in your pack with good size and little weight. I like that everything fits into one complete unit with everything well thought out and able to withstand many years of use.

I have not used the one that I ordered as of yet. I bought this because a buddy of mine has it and have used it a few times and it is great. Much lighter than my old setup and is much faster, meaning less fuel. I don't mind that it doesn't have an igniter, I tend to just throw a mini Bic in the cup and leave it there, not to mention I always have another lighter with me for emergencies.

Lightweight and simple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Zip 0.8L is my new go to stove for most adventures! It is easy to use even without the directions since the labeling on the jetboil illustrates the proper usage. This is the first of the jetboil systems I have owned and I am very pleased with its functionality. I have been able to use it quite a bit this winter and it boiled water quickly even in negative Fahrenheit conditions and higher elevations (tested around 10000 ft). Changing the amount of heat is smooth with the dial and it is seamless to ignite. My favorite part is the lid that makes it effortless to pour hot water out and the additional holes if you need to control the water you drain out. The system is also very easy to clean and pack. I plan to use it not only for ski/snowshoe days but also on my next camping trip to Norway since it's so small and easy to pack.
