The KEEN Men's NXIS Evo Mid Hiking Shoes are engineered for durability and comfort. The upper is made from performance mesh with TPU overlays and speed-lace webbing for a snug fit. A removable PU insole offers comfort underfoot, while a KonnectFit heel-capture system delivers a locked-in feel. These boots are made for walking, bought them and walked 20kms that day. No hot spots, no blisters. I had a previous pair, walked 3000kms

Pleased with purchase

Typically wear an 11 (in Keens), but purchased an 11.5 in order to provide room for heavier hiking socks. First trip out +/-3,000' and 6mi, no issues. Ankle support is comfortable and does not seem to inhibit scrambling across rocks. There is a Lacing D-Ring below the one and only Lacing Hook (@ top of boot), which I could see becoming an issue if someone really synched down on the lace. There are four "ornamental" blue Lacing D-Rings on the lower sector of the boot, but the lace goes through the D-Ring and through a Lacing Eyelet, so synching pressure is focused on the Eyelet in this location. In the case of the Lacing D-Ring, it's simply a blue (relatively small) lace that is smaller in diameter than the shoelaces themselves. Anyone who's broken a shoelace can imagine the setup here. Otherwise, nice wide toe box that Keen's are known for, and the toe bumper seems reasonably well constructed, as does the sole.

I love these boots I use for work and outdoor hikes, great ankle support lightweight and has some nice class as well. Thanks for making a true well made quality shoe!

Favorite Keens yet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first pair of NXIS boots and fell in love immediately. Unfortunatley, the lace keeper broke. But no worries Keen sent me a new pair right away. I have worn these for two months to work. Been in rain and snow. Feet stay warm, and comfortable. Can't wait for nice weather to hit the trails in these.

Because of an arthritic condition, I have trouble finding shoes that work with my painful feet. These shoes, with the tight heel that doesn't allow any slop or slide as well as the generous, ample are for my toes are a godsend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are everything I have dreamed of! Right out of the box they have been fantastic. Zero break in time needed. Comfortable, lightweight, all day comfort, super supportive and durable! I don't hike during the cold winter months in the pnw, but I'm wearing these for daily work and they are a nice looking shoes so I tend to wear them for every occasion! I will be keeping an eye on these for a sale price and a buying a back up pair soon!
