"the update"

Your "updated" shoe is no longer the shoe I loved. It looks mostly the same. Hated the new colors but I tried it anyway. Wore them in the house and could tell the differences immediately. Sent them back. Really stinks. They were the best shoes ever. Please change them back.

Durable comfort

Durable and comfortable, I wear these pretty much live in these. Dog walks, urban hikes, work (in winter), all casual occasions, you name it. Fourth pair I've owned.

Well made shoe! Need to improve inserts

Day one test so far so good. My heel lifted up a bit but being new shoes assume this will improve with wear. Inserts that come with shoe are marginal Keen should include quality inserts in the base shoe. Luckily I ordered inserts and was lucky I did. So far so good!

Sturdy and strong

I'm about to start my 4th trip to walk the Camino de Santiago with these shoes and they are still going strong. My only caution is the fabric at the top to tighten the laces. Keen should make something stronger there.

I'm on my 2nd pair of version III's and it's definitely the most comfortable and durable shoe I've ever owned. Feel like buying a couple more pair to stick in my closet for the future.

Poor Lace Hoop Design leading to premature failure

I’m on my third set of this hiker. In each case the shoe has been fantastic but all met an early demise due to a poor defective design on the top lace loop which constantly breaks. While the rest of the shoe holds up exceptionally well, this weak point in design renders it useless before its time. When factoring that in to the replacement cost it makes it a very expensive shoe requiring replacement long before it should. It’s pretty hard to wear a shoe designed for rugged use when you can’t tighten the laces due to the failed top lace hoops! Everything else about the shoe is fantastic! Sad that Keen fails to take action on it!
