This hiking shoe is Hands Down the best fitting shoe for my foot. Comfortable and sturdy. I’ll be buying another pair for back up since it appears that it is discontinued. Unfortunately, the Targhee 4 is a poor design. Very uncomfortable. Could wait to get them off at the end of the day.

A perfect and versatile boot

So far I've owned the Targhee, II, III, and IV. For me the III is the most comfortable and best fitting out of all of them for daily wear. I need a boot that's versatile and can go from walking the dogs on concrete sidewalks, to the office, and moderate hiking. All in various weather like rain and snow. And the III is perfect for that. The II and IV are a great hiking and backpacking boot with the stiffer and harder outsole and stiffer upper. For daily wear they are just not comfortable and give me foot pain and shin splints, even with different insoles. They are all great boots but for my needs the III's are perfect.

Very comfortable and dry!

Bought these to replace an older pair of Keen hiking boots. The first time out of the box i wore them to Ontario for a week long fishing trip. They were amazingly comfortable from the first time I slipped them on. We got rain a couple of days and my feet stayed quite dry in the boat as well as on shore. Very impressed with these boots!!!
