I previously purchased several pairs of hiking boots that have a combination of leather and mesh construction, all of which tore on both sides of the mesh above the toes. The mesh also did not stay waterproof for more than a month of hiking use. The only thing I don't like about these Keen hiking shoes is the coated nylon type shoelaces they come with, as they work their way loose unless you double tie them.

I have toe joint issues and often have to wear new shoes for short periods to break them in but these were comfortable right out of the box. They provide great foot support.

Best Hiking shoe hands down

Best waterproof hiking boots I have ever had. I have used this for hiking and landscaping for a year and they are still waterproof. I prefer these to boots for hiking as they weigh less and more comfortable. Every other boot i have tried pinches my toes but these so I orderer two to last me for years.
