NICE WHILE IT LASTED. - WARRANTY

Love the boots! However, I had a similar experience as Jessica in AZ. I bought them in Aug-Sept 21 and they lasted until June-July 22. Ridgeflex rubber cracked on both boots. Fortunately, I was able to file on time a warranty claim, which was accepted.

I was so excited to get these boots with the bellows flex in women’s 12, as they only carried up to 11 locally. I couldn’t get them laced tight enough to cinch them around the middle of my foot. As tight as I could pull them, the tongue and inside of the boot immediately rubbed the bony parts of my feet, and the toes of the boot stuck up like a clown shoe. They “fit” then but were too uncomfortable. My old keens lasted 6 years, and I have been hunting for a comfortable boot since then. Men’s boots don’t generally fit me, as once they are big enough, they are too big around the ankle and mid foot and too stiff/heavy. I ended up going for a men’s lightweight high top hiking boot that feel more like tennis shoes.

I purchased the ridge flex water proof boots in July. They were done by December. The Ridgeflex rubber cracked on both boots exposing the underneath side as I feared they might. This will render them worthless for waterproofing or serious hiking I like to do.

    Not Waterproof

I actually have three pairs of these boots as I find them so comfortable. BUT, they are definitely not waterproof. In heavy rain or even if walking through damp grass, my feet end soaking wet. Not how they are advertised and not what you would expect from a walking boot.

Bought these to replace some old Timberland work boots I had. I'm on my feet all day, but I'm a woman with really wide feet so my dogs were barking by the end of the day. Not anymore. I love Keen's wide toe box. Fit is true to size for a sneaker (I'm a 7 in most boots, and an 8 in sneakers. 8s in these fit great). I'm curious to see how the accordion toe crease style holds up, but so far I've warn these in all sorts of weather (I work in fish culture in New England, so they're wet a lot) and they've held up really nicely. I took 1 star off because I found them really difficult to get on, especially if I'm wearing thick socks. But once they're on, my feet are dry and comfy all day.

Been hiking in Keens for years because you could always take the quality for granted as a given and they fit the best of all brands. Got these to replace the PERFECT original Terradora mids that finally gave out after being underwhelmed by the Terradora 2 switch from leather to mesh. What a disappointment. They will be returned to the outfitter I bought them from. You have to wonder if Keen reads the increasing number of reviews complaining about the decline in quality across the board. In this case the fit was meh - adequate, whereas the original Terradoras fit perfectly from day 1. The reason for the return though is the penny-wise, pound-foolish decision to replace the top two hooks with plastic vs the metal hooks they've used in the past. At least FIVE other reviews mention the maddeningly tight opening making lacing a frustrating chore. If they were metal I could pry them open a tiny bit making this an acceptable purchase. Here's an idea: instead of putting out inferior products, just go back to making what you used to do right. Ridiculous decisions made by people who apparently don't try their own products before marketing them is the way to lose lifelong customers.

    Like little torture devices

The main shoe part of this boot was so comfortable and the flex bit was effective, BUT, the tongue felt like tiny little ice picks jabbing into my ankles. I’ve never had issues with a shoe’s tongue like this, I wound up having to return them after two very uncomfortable walks.

I love love love my Pyranese boots but was looking for something with a winter tread. These feel very clunky, rigid & heavy. I think they run a half size large. Going to stick with my trust Pyranese and wear grippers if I have to.
