Klymit Double V Insulated Sleeping Pad

Great fit for my 3 person tent and packs down quite small. I use this most often when camping with my boyfriend when we are backpacking or ATV camping. It is reasonably comfortable- probably more comfortable than some air mattresses. I do notice the thin-ness sometimes when sleeping on my side. Any uneven bumps or roots under the tent can sometimes be felt where the layers of the sleeping pad are fused together. This is in part because of the balancing act of filling with just enough air that it is not too firm with 2 people on it but not so underfilled that your hip or elbow touches the ground if the other person readjusts or gets up for a few minutes. Thicker sleeping pads or sleeping pads with a foam layer do not have this particular concern.

We’ve owned our double mat for just over a year now. Really fussy on its care and only used a few times. We’ve placed in a bath tub trying to find a leak to learn it has up to 10 leaks through pin holes so small you can’t find them without a bathtub. Leaking out everywhere through the area where it’s ’glued’ together between air spaces. Really disappointing as we were trusting this product to see us out for a while. Purchased in NZ and not sore anything can be done with no receipt.

Have taken it on a few overnight trips now. Light enough and wide enough to be perfect for a couple. Some discomfort on the hips, I think it would be better for stomach or back sleepers.
