Marmot Catalyst 3 Person Tent

I purchased this tent because my old one could not keep out the rain. The Marmot Catalyst has a high-quality rain fly which extends away from the bottom of the tent itself and the tent comes with a footprint sheet with grommets at the corners to further protect against water seeping into the tent. It is quick and easy to set up and I expect it to stand up to the wind, although it is only supplied with a couple of guy lines. I have purchased additional nylon ropes, tensioners and extra pegs so I can attach additional guy lines. I like how the rain fly can be folded back to view the stars on a clear night. I also like how the rain flight creates a vestibule to store dirty boots etc. Construction appears solid and there is sealing tape over all the seams.

I bought this tent 2 years ago and have done 7 backcountry trips in it. It's been great. Could be a bit lighter, but overall a great tent.

only giving a 4 star because the description on the website wasent well describe.order it and the tent is half mesh and its not what i wanted, i wanted no mesh tent for the moment but it does look like a super good tent. I ordered the tent online and returned it in store with no problems at all. staff was friendly and it was a quick transaction.
