Marmot Midpines 4-Person Tent

Tent pole snapped after the second use, manufacturers defect, Marmot will not send a replacment tent pole, they claim they do no have any replacement tents available for a direct replacement, offered a 3p tent as warranty, they ended up not having one of those either, offered a 2p tent as compensation for the poor quality product, refuse to offer a refund, avoid Marmot, the quality of their product is not what it used to be, and they do not stand behind their warranty.

Impressed with tent. Camped 2 times at 1 week each and tent suited my needs perfectly. Very easy setup and good instructions attached as a hard copy to tent storage bag for reference an added bonus if camp occasionally. Encountered several days where rained hard all night and bone dry the next day, as no leaks in tent. The only con would be the tent pegs but invested in heavy duty pegs especially on hard ground. A good tent peg is recommended especially for the very front peg on entrance to the tent, as under lots of stress entering and leaving tent multiple times - worked excellent. I think this is common on tents with not high quality pegs and up to consumer to invest afterwards. Lots of space especially if only 2 people in tent as adds lots of storage for extra camp gear and space. Highly recommend this tent has high quality and worked great for my 1 week camping trips.

I purchased the tent from Atmosphere, which is a owned by Canadian Tire, which owns Sport Chek. I took it out this weekend the one pole snapped in half and another bent in two different directions. Yes, it was windy, but good Lord they shouldn't break or bend. The tent is now useless because Marmot doesn't make the tent anymore so the poles are not available for purchase. I am disappointed with the product.

Right out of the gate I must let people know that the colour that is shown on this site is not the colour of tent you will receive, The actual tent colour that you'll get is is the " Red Sun/ Picante, which in my opinion is the nicer of the 2 colours offered. We own many Marmot tents and the have never failed us once, I'm certain that the Midpines will be no different, but will obviously have to wait for more favorable weather to test it. The 4 out of 5 star rating reflects this detail.

There is no overhang on entrance. If it rains water will drip right into your tent. Every time you go in our out the flap drips on you.

I’ve had this tent for 2 years. The poles are not strong enough and are slowly bending resulting in the tent getting more and more misshaped. Other than the poles breaking, this is a good tent.
