Great, Simple Design & Good Value

Bought this tent approx 3 years ago now and I can say it performs wildly above what I expected it to. I have used it everywhere from Hawaii, Tofino, interior BC & Sask and it has kept me dry every time. I have re-waterproofed it and added a couple patch kits here and there for some snags. The only drawback is the included footprint sometimes sticks out past the fly & holds the water and thus, you could get some infiltration through the floor. Overall though, love this little tent.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent entry level tent - genuinely shocked

Bought this tent 3 years ago - and honestly it’s great. Full disclosure, I bought this tent when I was fairly poor and needed something cheap. Normally I am a brand snob but went for McKinley and haven’t regretted it for a day. It’s been used MANY times for car camping and backpacking, and while it could definitely be lighter for the use of backpacking, it is sturdy! Survived a night of 70km/h winds. I’ll retire it soon, but I recommend it to anyone that wants an entry level tent.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good tent for the right price.

Night this for moto camping, and this is an underrated tent. Packs small, and most importantly, the poles fold down to 12” approx. I can fit the whole tent, including poles, in my side bag. Most tents have 24” poles that fit awkwardly on motorbikes.

Good for beginners and not ultralighters (lol)

A great beginner backpacking tent, especially on sale. It fits two people perfectly with plenty of room in the vestibule for gear. The poles are a little confusing the first few times so definitely practice before taking it out, I found the instructions to be lacking detail as with a lot of tents but once you figure it out it’s easy. A little heavier than the ideal weight but works out if split between two people. Also packs down pretty small with the compression sack. Overall for the price I’m happy!

I purchased this tent at 50% off and used it on a 3 day hike in the rain. Great value for money!

Great Tent

Great little tent, comfortable size and height for two people. Once you figure out how to put it together the first time, it’s super quick to setup. Looks very nice as well, comes in a cool waterproof bag. Would recommend.

Nice weight and super easy to set up. The support rods are all in one piece so it is impossible to get mixed up. I also loved the two entrance feature.

Poles are only 12" long when packed!

Ive have spent appprox 50 nights in 4 years in this tent, and it hasnt let me down yet. It is not a "very" good tent, it is a "good for the money" tent. I use it primarily in spring/summer moto-camping trips. The most underrated feature of this tent is that the poles when folded up are only approx 12-14 inches long which fit inside my panniers. THis is a HUGE advantage over most other tents.
