Excellent so far!

We purchased 4 pairs of McKinley Tour snowshoes (on sale for a great price) for ourselves and guests at our cottage to be able to enjoy some winter outdoor adventures. We have used them three times and so far, are very impressed. They are reasonably lightweight, they appear quite robust and ware very easy to get on and off. So far, they seem like a perfect, entry-level to intermediate snowshoe. I would highly recommend these as a perfect way to get started in the sport.

Yes, I recommend this product.

McKinley Tour snowshoes

I was really looking forward to receiving these snowshoes that I bought online. I was going on blind trust that they’d fit properly and that I could use them right away. Generally, they looked great and seemed to be good quality for the price, but once I started looking closer, I saw the issues. First, one of the fasteners along the edge of the frame was not connected to the foot support material. I figured that 1 out of roughly 10 fasteners would be ok. But then when I tried to fit my boot in place, the heel strap on one of them was completely reversed and unable to lock in place. I tried to see if I could weave it through in the proper direction but it was impossible. So in the end, the pair of snowshoes was unusable. Thankfully the local store saw the issues and issued a refund right away.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Heavy and of limited utility

Very heavy for what they are. The bindings are stiff and surprisingly awkward to use; worse yet, they are apparently designed for a very specific boot, so don't expect them to work with your shoepacks (too small) or your snowshoe moccasins (too big, too stuff). All in all not worth the price of admission. Customer service pretty bad too ... have been waiting for a week to get a response on how to return them ...
