Couldn't be happier

I didn't know what to expect and was thinking I would have to return these a couple of times before the correct size and feel were right. These fit perfectly right out of the box. Heavy enough for you to feel the protection and light enough that you do not feel like you are going to be tired from lifting your legs in the first mile. No slippage. Great grip on the bottoms. The waterproofing works well and I like the ankle support. Your feet stay warm and dry during winter months. (I am in South Carolina so I am speaking only of winter rain not snow). I bought them for my first 20 mile hike at the Mammoth March in May. Considering temperatures will be warmer I may be considering the Speed 2 Mid for the hike and spring and summer months and the Moab 3 for everyday wear. Being an old dude in my 50's 😁 I have not ventured from my reliable Reeboks since the 80's 😂. But I have found my new brand. I am very happy to have found Merrell.

I recently bought the Merrell Chameleon boots and I’m very impressed. They are extremely comfortable right out of the box, with great cushioning and support. The traction is excellent on different terrains, and they feel stable and secure even on long walks or hikes.
The build quality is solid, and the materials feel durable without making the boots heavy. They also provide good breathability while still offering protection. Overall, these boots exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and comfortable outdoor footwear.

Warm, Waterproof, and Built for Real Winter

I bought these for real winter conditions, not just “cute snow boots,” and they absolutely delivered. These boots are warm, waterproof, and sturdy without feeling bulky or uncomfortable. I’ve worn them in freezing temps, snow, and icy conditions, and my feet stayed warm and dry the entire time.
What I will say I wish I could have bought it in a wide because I love wearing thick socks plus I am flat footed but I took them for a walk a lot on my trail purposely so that I could break them in before actually using them. Currently they’re fitting just fine i still have to wear thin wool socks being that the shoe is narrow for my feet. But they’re they’re surprisingly comfortable for longer wear. I feel supportive around the ankle, which I really appreciate because I’m always walking in rocky areas where we have to balance ourselves.
The traction is solid..
If you’re looking for boots that actually hold up in cold weather and aren’t just for looks, these are 100% worth it. I’d definitely buy them again (but in a wide) 😉

My wife and I both have these boots . They work extremely well in the snow and icy situations , the grip sole works very well , lightweight and waterproof .

I've used these boots mostly for snow shoveling so far... the grip is very good, even on ice. I finally had a chance to wear them snowshoeing yesterday. I've got big old wood and rawhide Alaskan snowshoes and these boots seem to stand up to them very well.

Excellent support, traction, and dry comfortable feet in all weather conditions. I am 69 climbing and hiking thru sand dune forests on Lake Michigan shores year round. I would use these for backpacking too. 💯
