Quality Shoe

Usually a great shoe I buy over and over. Last pair I got the sole just fell off after about a year of indoor use. Only issue I've had.

Quality durable footwear!

My Merrell moabs have been the best shoes I have ever owned. They last forever. I just get new inserts every year or so. Rain or snow even deep puddles and my feet stay dry. They are so much better for my knees, ankles and feet. They cost more upfront but last forever. I used to wear out the tread in my shoes and I have never done that with my moabs. I've worn Merrells for 20 years and now that's all I buy.

Moab 3 vs. Moab 2

I received a new Moab 3, instead of the Moab 2 that I ordered, but I'm keeping them since old version 2 stock must be gone. Comparing to my previous Moab 2 non-waterproof (men's 13, med-wide), here are my comments for the new version 3s: PROS: a) fit my feet a bit better (snugger with fewer loose/tight areas), b) the sole/footbed "rolls over" more smoothly when walking on pavement, c) tread pattern is a bit more aggressive, perhaps a bit better traction on wet dirt / CONS: a) the footbed/insole seems thicker? I feel to be standing precariously too high off the ground, and more significantly, my foot wants to roll over side-to-side much too easily (ie., the shoe uppers don't hold my foot in well enough, resulting in a rolling over action on uneven ground)... this is terrible in the forest with uneven ground because of poor stability and I'm worried I might injure my ankle (getting a mid/high version of this shoe would probably help, but I do not want a larger/heavier/hotter shoe that costs more) b) rubber compound seems a bit more slippery on wet smooth rocks -- thanks

Yes, I recommend this product.

MUST HAVE!

Love these shoes. I’m an electrician who works outside year around, so having a good pair of shoes is crucial. The Moab 2 is perfect for what I need- very comfortable and waterproof. No break-in period like with boots. Def recommend giving these shoes a try
