Merrell Men's Moab 3 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots

Best fitting and most comfortable shoe I’ve worn in years

The first adventure I took my Moab 3 Mid Waterproof's on was to Grand Island in Michigan for a week long backpacking trip. These were the only shoes I brought other than a pair of sandals and I was not at all disappointed. I even got the chance to experience their waterproofing as my shoes were exposed to a decent amount of rain one of the nights and I was able to dry them off very easily. As if all of that wasn't great enough, they're also extremely lightweight, which is great if you're spending most of your day walking!

The boots were very comfortable & completely waterproof. My suggestion to any shopper would be to verify you’re getting the waterproof version because there are two, one that’s waterproof and one that’s not. I’ve seen several reviews that they were not waterproof, but I believe the ordering system could be improved and customer satisfaction heightened if Merrell enhanced and clarified the difference between the two because it looks like you’re just getting a sale item when really you’re getting a boot that’s not waterproof if the cost is reduced. And it doesn’t specify unless you specifically ask the chat line so do your homework before you order them. But, that being said, very comfortable, perfectly wide enough for my husband’s wide foot, rugged AND waterproof! They were great hiking in Alaska & Canada during the rainy season. Merrell was great. I ordered the Moab 3 water resistant the wrong size and Merrell accepted them back and sent me the right size within two weeks. They made it easy and efficient, thank you Merrell. Been wearing the boots and they feel great. High arch wide toe very comfortable.

I ordered the wide width because i can almost never find a shoe wide enough, I need at least a 4E width, and I have some shoes that are 6E width, but this shoe fit fine, and it feels great also. I normally take a 8.5 size, so that's what I ordered and the length was perfect also. I have several pairs of the normal height merrell shoes and they are all great.

Fantastic hike shoe , built tough with a great fit !

This is my husband's second pair of Moab 3s. First pair lasted over 2 years with many miles of trails. These are incredibly comfortable, long lasting, and tough for the trails. Only hiking shoes we trust. They hold up incredibly well and support his ankles and don't need much to be broken in- we go straight to the trails on the new pair without getting any blisters or cramps in our feet. These shoes are the GO TO for all types of trails. Rocky, Forest, roots etc.
