Great shoes

This is my second pair of Moabs. I wear them when I am walking the dogs in all kinds of weather and in a variety of places -- wet walks in the woods; dry walks on pavement; everyday walks around the neighborhood. The shoes are comfortable, waterproof, and very comfortable.

The waterproof Moab 3 wide width shoes are great. I bought these after my Moab 2 shoes were worn out. I live in these shoes so I also bought another pair of Moab 3 that are not waterproof.
I was a little hesitant about buying the new model but they are a very good fit. I would recommend these for hiking as well as everyday use.

At 75, I've had a lot of shoes and can't remember most of them! However, I think I'm right in saying that these Merrells are probably most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I bought my first pair about 10 years ago. They have gotten worn, but I still wear them to hack around and they are still comfortable! I decided to get a new pair, thinking that they might be even more comfortable. Rather than a 12 regular, I got 12 1/2 wide, and as you might expect, they are more comfortable than my original ones. The thin, cheap insoles that came in them (as in virtually all shoes) lasted about five days. I replaced them with (an overpriced) pair of Sole insoles, and these increase the comfort dramatically! I think the main thing that makes Merrells comfortable is the sole which is made of rubber lugs/cleats. The rubber has some compliance, some give which definitely imparts a cushioning effect as you walk. They are expensive shoes, but based on their longevity, they certainly seem to be worth the expense.

I love these shoes. The waterproof Moab 3 allows me to walk in all weather without any difficulty. I can sustain my exercise goals because weather is no longer a factor I have to worry about. I can walk in comfort in all weather conditions.

Due to a car accident when I was a little kid I have a leg length discrepancy. Merrell shoes have a deep heel which allows me to wear lifts in my shoes, comfortably and not noticeable by others. The shoes also last a long time. This year I am averaging 11,500 steps a day and the shoes hold up to the daily mileage. Thank you!
