Not comfortable and will not last.

Really disappointed with how these shoes have held up. After only several hikes, the upper has started cracking and separating right where it meets the rubber toe cap. A clear split has opened along the seam, and the material beside it is breaking down. The bond between the upper and the toe bumper is failing too, so the edge is lifting away.
The shoes haven’t been abused at all. The toe is the area a shoe is supposed to protect, so having it fail first points to a problem with the materials or the bonding, not normal wear. Now that the crack is open, water and dirt can get in, and I expect it to keep spreading.
They’re not comfortable. I liked the look at first, but for this price I expect the shoes to last more. I can’t recommend them.

No heel lock at all

Just bought these from the rack and was really excited about them and after a mile or so light hike, they act like flip flops. The heel lock is almost non existent and I have previous Merrell moabs and they are not like this at all. If I hadn't already scoffed and muddied them I would probably take back. I like Merrell a lot and have for many many years, but the inconsistency is tough to deal with. Some things are great, some fall apart quickly, and some just don't function like they should. Anyways, I got the grey ones and love the look, will just have to continue to hike my old ones.

Real talk people, seriously. I left a previous review asking how could you not like this shoe..... I love this shoe so much I've bought 2 more pair, 1 for work, 1 for after work. Its a different color but the same comfortable Merrell that I've always loved. I assure you I get nothing for talking them up, just really excited about this shoe. I have diabetic neuropathy and these shoes are the answer for a more pain free day... Buy a pair, you won't be disappointed.
