The Merrell specific custom outsole will provide traction in the worst winter conditions on or off the trail.

Had this pare now for 6 weeks. Still feel great and easy to put on and off. Dust and dirt seems to stick to the surface more than others but not a big deal.

Great Boots

I have used these boots hiking in the white mountains covered with snow in single digit weather. Once I found the correct socks my feet and toes are not even a little cold. Love these boots. I wore them for a couple hours to break them in but they didn't really need it. I've only had them a month so I am not sure how they will hold up but after 6 hikes I can't say enough good things about them.

My podiatrist recommended Merrell boots & sneakers for the support they offer, so for Christmas my daughter gave me a pair of the Kiruna 2 Tall Waterproof in the Boulder color. They are the best most comfortable boots I have ever owned.

These boots were advertised for use in cold weather, and they certainly lived up to their promise in Banff, AB as the temp hovered between 0 - 10F for several days. Walking on snow and ice and my feet were warm and dry in the low temps.

Great Winter Boots

I have been using these for the past 3 months, walking an average of 8 km (5 mi.) daily on packed snow and pavement. They have been worn with temperatures as low as -25c and are very warm. Not sure how long your feet would stay warm if you were inactive at these temperatures. Tread is very good on ice and packed snow. They are well made, very comfortable right out of the box and show no signs of wear so far. These are hands down the best winter walking boots I have owned. I would buy these again.
