I bought this for my trip to Scotland (which is known for its very unpredictable rain) and it 100% delivered. It survived hiking through Conic Hill, the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, Fairy Pools and many more! It is very comfortable and greatly delivered its water-proof features (I was able to wash it on a lake after a muddy hike and all the dirt came off easy!). Great for trails, rock terrains, muddy terrains and even slippery surfaces. It was so comfy that I even end up using it as walking shoes around Edinburgh.

My 2nd pair of Merrell hikers. Bought my first pair in 2004. They have worn extremely well. I needed to update after so long. These Moab 3 fit great out of the box. I’ve worn them around the house and for short walks in the neighborhood. I expect they’ll do great hiking on trails. I have narrow feet and the Merrell hiking boots fit better than other brands I’ve tried. The toe bed is wider than I like but the heel fits my narrow foot best of any other hikers I’ve tried.

Just replace on old pair of Moabs to prepare for a trip to Glacier. My favorite hiking shoe, giving solid protection and grip on all types of terrain and having no break in time at all. Love these and highly recommend!

Snug, supportive fit around the ankles

My feet grew, so I had to replace my much loved, but no longer being made, Vasque hiking boots. I previously had good luck with the Moab Speed 2, so I thought I'd try Merrell again. First I tried the Accentor 3 Mid Waterproof, but they were too wide around my ankles, so I returned and ordered the Moab 3 Mid Waterproof. I am so pleased that I did. They are even more snug (comfortably) around my ankles than my previous hiking boots. I am looking forward to trying them out on the trail. The return process was easy and I received my new boots in a matter of days. I am very pleased with Merrell.

National Park hiking

I went hiking in Mount Rainier and Olympic National Parks. I encountered all sorts of terrain, from creeks to rocks. I’m so glad they are water proof. While out on Rialto Beach, I nice young women looked over at me and said “Hey, we have the same shoes!” We both thought that they were comfortable.

Great shoe, water proof, warm

Wore these hiking in Iceland. Feet stayed warm and dry, despite wind blowing rain for hours. Climbed over rocks, and hit the sides of the shoes a ton. The tread and sides held up really well. Only minor scuffs. All mud, volcanic ash, and black sand washed off.
