A comfortable waterproof boot!

This is my second pair of Merrels, replacing the first after years of normal wear and tear. These boots are comfortable right out of the box and I especially like the waterproof feature. They are great for walking the dog through wet fields as well as regular hiking trails. I ordered a 1/2 size up to accommodate thicker socks and and all around comfort. This is a great low rise hiking boot and I highly recommend it for any outdoor adventure.

I am extremely happy with the Moab 3 Waterproof shoes. They fit well and were comfortable from the first step onwards. I walk every day and we have had significant rain and puddles. My feet have remained dry. The shoes are standing up to a variety of terrain. This was my first experience with these shoes. I would purchase again and do not hesitate to recommend.

I bought these 2 days before a 4 day hiking trip in Moab and they were excellent! I didn’t even have to break them in. I am usually a 6.5 but found them a bit snug so sized up to a 7 and am very happy with my decision!

no foot support

I don't know where the shock absorption is supposed to be coming from, but my joints hurt so much after walking in these for 20 minutes. Not appropriate for any hard surfaces. My back tightened up, my knees hurt, my hips hurt, my neck hurt, and I am praying I can return these shoes even though I wore them. I didn't notice the lack of support while just walking around the store for a bit, it wasn't until I took the shoes out for a walk that I felt the pain. If there is such a thing as an anti-orthopedic shoe, this is it.
The only good thing I can say is that they fit really, really well. I got the wide size, and that was perfect.

The were exactly what I needed to keep my feet dry and keep me vertical during my trip to Scotland and Ireland. They were super comfortable too! I have a high arch and I wear a metatarsal pad on my left foot. I had zero issues, dry feet after walking in the rain and through puddles, and no slipping the traction was on point

Excellent support & comfort, not fully waterproof

I love the support these give to my entire foot, exceptional! So important for a senior citizen. They were comfortable from day 1. And for the first few months, they were completely waterproof. I could walk through heavy dew in the grass, in cold weather, and my feet stayed toasty warm and dry. However, after about 3mos, the left shoe seems to leak, and I come home with a wet sock and cold damp foot, disappointing. Also, after ~4mos, the laces have started to fray; disappointing as I've had other shoes for years with no fraying. I would love to give these a 5* review as the shoe itself is best I've worn for walking/hiking.

These shoes are perfect for the Cotswalds

My shoes and I went to the Cotswalds for a 5-day walking/hiking trip with Backroads. The shoes were new, but comfortable and worked perfectly for this trip. We only had one day of rain, but that experience provided a good test for how waterproof the shoes are.
