Not comfortable on the top edge of the shoe

I returned these. The shape of the shoe near the top lace outlet is shaped in a way that it digs into my ankle. I ended up changing to a different brand, all the Merrill’s were shaped like this on the top. It is not a defect, it’s a design choice. I suspect the design impacts women more than men. It may not impact women with big ankles the same way but for women with thin or normal ankles, the shoes puts pressure on the soft spot below your ankle bones on both sides. This gets uncomfortable fast.

Waterproof and solid

This is my third pair of Merrell shoes and the waterproof feature makes them even better as I wear them for gardening. They have great grip and support to my feet for all the things I do outside, I will always purchase them providing they are available.

I cannot say enough good things about this pair of shoes. I’ve worn them for city exploring and Matterhorn hiking. They work with linen pants and hiking pants. Love love love them!

I was looking for a shoe tp handle rough terrain on a hiking trip in the alps and settled on these sneakers. They have a very thick sole, gripy tread, plenty of cushion, and nice supporting arch. I got the black ones because they didnt have the other colors in my size. That is my only disappointment with them.

I've bought many pairs of Merrells, for my entire family because I knew they would be good quality..unfortunately these are uncomfortable and stiff and my feet pop out with every step. So sad because I love all my other pairs.
