I always buy Merrells . They just work for me. I bought these to use on the Hadrians Wall hike 5 months from now.... I tried them a few times and have now ordered another pair to save till I go. These hit all the boxes. Waterproof. Great grip on technical trails. Look nice... I can even trail run in them....I go out every day in the rain with my dog no less than 6 km on wet forest trails and they haven't failed me yet.

Great shoes with a wide toe box

Great fit right off the bat. Super comfy and I didn't need to break them in! Took a 6 km hike the day I got them with no issues at all.
I have bunions on both feet and these have a wider toe box so it didn't hurt me.
The shoes easily fit my custom orthodox with out making the shoe tight.
The one thing is that the heel is slightly big but it's not enough of a concern that I couldn't wear them. Also, the shoelaces provided always come loose.
Overall, I'd recommend these!

I’ve been wearing Merrills for a number of years - first off and on - but now, I wouldn’t change. They provide the fit, comfort and quality I want and need in a hiking shoe. I put miles on them every day.

I bought these to replace my previous pair of Merrell hiking shoes, which I had for about 20 years! They were comfortable from the start, and will be great for dog walking and the moderate hiking I will do. Happy to have another pair of Merrells.
